How to deal with Facebook Privacy Issues:

If you followed everything and everywhere someone went, and posted it all over the internet. A normal person would be very upset, you would think. Facebook does this to us all, and we don’t make a peep. Facebook uses some deep cookie methods that even if you LOGOUT of the Facebook website, they can still track you. They are tracking you at every corner of the internet, and they can’t wait to tell your friends all about it. We have become a society that wants to live in public. Social networks want us to live in public, they make more money from it. If you don’t like being tracked then here is a small list of things you can do to protect yourself from being tracked, and to stay safe on Facebook

Use a browser for Facebook and only Facebook. ie Opera is the browser for Facebook only. Another not as safe method would be to use the “porn mode” (incognito mode), EVERY time you use Facebook.
After every change and update to Facebook, check your privacy settings and set it to something you are comfortable with.
Put very minimal or even better wrong information in about yourself in your profile.
Use the addblock extension for Firefox or Chrome. This will keep you from having adds served to you, and it helps to reduce the amount of information they keep
Never ever post anything that you wouldn’t want the whole world to know. Sharing pictures and videos have to be stored on a public server, which means it doesn’t matter how tough you settings are, it can be gotten to.
